It is an important job engine, a significant economic factor, successful on the global market and eager to invest. The effects of the European Union's (EU) new Medical Devices Regulation are increasing the administrative burden, forcing companies to streamline their portfolios and tying up resources that are lacking for innovation.
The biennial «Swiss Medical Technology Industry Sector Study 2022» was produced in close cooperation between Swiss Medtech and the Helbling Group. In 2022, over 500 medtech companies operating in Switzerland took part in the survey.
The study was published on September 14, 2022 in Bern.
