Movably Inc. was founded to make focused deskwork compatible with regular movement. Its Movably Pro rethinks the conventional office chair as a deskwork movement system, enabling users to alternate between sitting, leaning and standing without interrupting their workflow.
Movably set out to transform an innovative movement concept into a robust and intuitive product. Helbling supported the development of the mechanics and electronic hardware, creating an integrated system that enables smooth posture changes while meeting the requirements for stability, usability and reliable everyday operation.

Outcome
Movably Pro enables frequent posture changes during focused deskwork through an integrated mechanical and electronic system. Its movement concept was evaluated in a University of Waterloo study, showing benefits for discomfort without negatively affecting task performance. The product’s innovative design was also recognized with Gold in Workplace / Office Chairs at the 2023 International Design Awards.
